Drainage in the bottom of water ponds carried out using "herringbone" systems based on trenches filled with drain pipes surrounded with gravel.
Gravel cannot be used on slopes (it will not remain on gradients of more than 1:4), so a geotextile is fixed on banks for protection and drainage.
A geotextile is a geosynthetic with very low drainage capacity, so it is not technically suitable as a drainage solution [comparative view].
