Soil retaining walls reinforced with geogrids are an economic alternative to traditional concrete walls. INTERGRID geogrids are polyester geogrids. These geogrids have a high tensile strength at low deformations as well as an excellent creep behavior.
The most usual geogrid reinforced walls are finished with a vegetal face, which are known as green walls. In some cases geogrid reinforced walls are also finished with prefabricated concrete blocks.
In both cases, they are executed by interleaving different layers of compacted filling materials with Intergrid.
In this type, an erosion control geogrid is placed in the outside face in order to prevent the loss of vegetal soil enhancing the growth of vegetation. The aspect of these structures is similar to a natural slope but with a greater angle.
