Refinforced walls
INTERGRID is a geogrid made of high-module elastic polyestes (PET) used as an element of reinforcement.

Due to their composition and manufacture, these materials have the following characteristics:

  1. High short-term tensile strength at break: from 20 KN/m to 1,000 KN/m
  2. Low deformation in short-term break.
  3. Excellent performance in yield.
  4. Optimal interaction with all types of floors due to its structure.
  5. Easy and fast installation
  6. The union between the weft and the warp is perfect, preventing tears.
  7. UV resistant due to its bituminous coating.

INTERGRID, the geogrid, has been designed and planned to be a long-term reinforcement and to provide to be a long-term reinforcement and to provide adequate stability for the construction unit.

Reinforced walls

A system for reinforcement and bearing of filling with geogrid type geosynthetic materials.

The geogrid has an opening which allows the establishing of vegetation in front. This front must be protected with a thicker mesh to control erosion.

The contact of the filler material reinforced with the geogrid with the natural soil must drain adequaltely.

Its main applications are on roads and railways. Some of the most important are:

  1. Preventing excessive expropiations.
  2. Execution of two roads very near to each other at different heights.
  3. Reinforcement of the wings in abutments of bridges.

ADVANTAGES:

  1. It is the most economi system in construction of bearing structures.
  2. It does not need foundation, being supported directly upon the natural soil.
  3. It does not transfer additional loads to the soil.
  4. It is a flexible system, adaptable to the deformations of the soil.
  5. Quick and easy execution.
  6. Allows the execution of curved stretches and corners.

This type of bearing structure can gave two types of finishes:

Concrete blocks:

On the front of the wall prefabricated pieces of concrete can be placed in different colours and shapes.
It is possible to make practically vertical faces.

APPLICATIONS:

  1. Car parks.
  2. Single family dwellings.
  3. Large shopping areas.
  4. Industrial parks.
  5. Sports areas.

Natural finish:

In order for this finish to be ideal we must take into account:
  1. Suitable soil with vegetation in the front.
  2. Installation of an irrigation system which is suited to the needs of the zone.
  3. Use of indigenous seeds.
  4. The gradient must not exceed 80° so that the face can retain water.

Civil works

In the implementation of landfill, both in sealed and in new vessels, which may appear slope geometry and geotechnical characteristics require the placement of a reinforcement geogrids over the layers of geosynthetics to prevent landslides.

Its function is to counteract the difference between the destabilizing force, the longitudinal component of the weight and the stabilizing force is the force of friction that is generated in the various interfaces between soil and geosynthetics.

INSTALLATION:

For installation of geogrids, the banks should be well shaped.

Will be crowned in a ditch that will serve as the anchor for all geosynthetics subject to be placed on the slope (geogrids, bentonite, etc.).

REINFORCEMENT TO SOLVE SUBSIDENCE PROBLEMS

System of reinforcement with the INTERGRID geogrid which prevents caving in the soil due to the presence of cavities in the lower stratum. It is quick and easy to install.

REINFORCEMENT ON SOFT SOILS

System of reinforcement with INTERGRID geogrid to prevent the cracking of pavement. Prior to on-site installation and prevent the material from wrinkling, the geogrid carries a geotextile stitched or heat-welded.

REINFORCEMENT OF PAVEMENTS

System of reinforcement with a combination of INTERGRID geogrid and INTERDRAIN drainage geocompounds to improve the bearing capacity of the support base of embankments during the execution of linear works.
